This chat function is actually quite simple and doesn't take more than five minutes to learn. The first thing you need to understand is that this chat is based on Internet Relay Chat (IRC). So, the basic commands must be mastered before you can do anything. (* denotes a space then a screen name)
/me: talks in third person with your name
/join*: joins a room
/nick: changes your nickname
/whois*: finds out who the user is
/quit: quit chat
With this chat you will first encounter a screen like this:
At this point you should type in your desired screen name at the dialogue box.
If this appears:
It means someone else is using that screen name and you need to choose another screen name.
Then to go to my chat room you should type this in:
Then you're all set to chat away using the commands that you learned previously.
